Creating project bags has been a perfect blend of Heather’s passion for knitting and Hillary’s passion for sewing. The name “syster” calls back to our Swedish heritage, and all of our bags are named after women in our family.

Beautiful Syster has many styles of project bag to choose from, individually sewn by us. The “Heather” bag is a unique, functional bag with a strap allowing for knitting on-the-go, tying to seal the bag, and folding into a yarn bowl. We also have zipper bags including the “Cleo, ” the “Ismira, ” the “Hillary, ” and the “Jocelyn” ranging in size from socks to sweaters. We have the “Moss” bag, the backpack, and the bum bag assembled using leather straps branded with our Beautiful Syster logo.

Beautiful Syster’s Natural Syster affiliate has eco-printed fabric and naturally dyed yarn milled using locally sourced wool from Hillary’s small family farm and others in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Our yarn is milled at a small, woman-run mill in Minnesota. All of the dyes we use contain only natural ingredients like cochineal, madder, and marigold.
